The A4 Holding Group's commitment in the social sphere translates, among its various activities, into the dissemination of road safety culture, a priority for the Group's motorway concessionaire. Precisely in this perimeter falls the campaign #usalatesta, an initiative that for several years has seen us involved with the Verona Strada Sicura Association in a direct and open dialogue with young students of driving licence age from the fourth and fifth classes of secondary schools in Verona and its province.
After two years of standstill due to the pandemic, the #usalatesta campaign came back to life on the morning of Friday 8 April at the Aleardo Aleardi International School of Verona in the presence of about a hundred students, gathered in the auditorium, and 14 other Institutes of Verona and Province connected via live streaming to follow the meeting.
During the morning, facts and images from the road were shared with the students, and more specifically stories from those who live the road every day. In order to prevent factors that increase exposure to numerous risks, the Traffic Police, SUEM 118, Fire Brigade and Traffic Auxiliaries brought their own experience to bear, recounting and revealing the causes that are often behind the most serious accidents, with the aim not so much of giving driving notions or imposing certain behaviours, but of reminding them that the main cause of road accidents today is the human factor.
During the meeting there were also touching testimonies like that of handbike athletes from GSC Giambenini and that of family members of young victims of road accidents, both of whom are actively involved in the Verona Strada Sicura Association.
