A4 Holding, an Abertis Group company that has been operating for over 70 years and manages 235 km of motorways in the North East and intersects the territories and industrial zones of five provinces in the Veneto and Lombardy regions, confirms its active participation in the twenty-first edition of Tocatì, the International Festival of Street Games, scheduled to take place in Verona from 14 to 17 September, with the "On The Right Road" project.
On September Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th, the motorway holding company's staff will meet children in the dedicated Playsmart area in Piazza Bra in Verona, where a route and a game will be set up under the guidance of three mascots (the cautious fox, the wise owl and the tender and caring panda), symbols of the actions to be taken to always remain 'on the right road', respecting the rules of safety and caution while exploring the territory and its beauties, always with due attention to the surrounding environment.
At the end of the route under the guidance and advice of the three mascots, participating children will receive a certificate in the form of a 'fair pilot' licence and gadgets prepared for the occasion.
A4 Holding thus re-proposes a program that has been very successful in the past edition of the Festival and that made it possible to inform and make children and families aware of everything that makes mobility today a sustainable concept, understood as safe and shared mobility with less impact on the environment and the territory, highlighting the importance of the Veronese company's commitment to economic, environmental and social sustainability and the practice of sustainable and socially responsible policies to support local communities.
A project that is part of the panel of A4 Holding's various initiatives aimed at road safety, training and environmental research and preservation, and which have as their objective the sustainable development, the fight against climate change through energy efficiency and the responsible use and consumption of resources and materials, and the strengthening of digitisation and innovation processes for the development of new systems and forms of mobility.
"Our idea of being a promoter of development of the places that our motorways pass through - is the comment of Gonzalo Alcalde, Chairman of A4 Holding - is also realized through these projects aimed at tomorrow's drivers and travellers. An educational journey that allows them to discover, understand and adopt, in their present and future journeys, the rules of the road, not forgetting to get to know the places and respect the nature that surrounds them. The success of this format has convinced us to extend it beyond the Festival, to make it into a competition aimed at the primary schools of all the provinces of the Veneto region and that of Brescia: a creative contest for the 2023-2024 school year that will aim to raise awareness in an even more targeted and extensive manner on the issues of road safety, landscape protection, and the enhancement of the beauty and peculiarities of the territory".
