Operational meeting today between the CEO of Autostrada del Brennero Diego Cattoni, the President of A35 Brebemi-Aleatica Francesco Bettoni and the President of Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova Gonzalo Alcalde. The occasion was the LetExpo trade fair, dedicated to sustainable logistics, transport and services, currently taking place in Verona.
An ideal context to lay the foundations of a collaboration between the three major concessionaires, in view of the relevant challenges of the near future concerning sustainable mobility and the decarbonisation of the transport sector, using and sharing their know-how and ongoing studies in this field. The goal, in addition to accelerating the path towards increasingly green mobility within the three realities, is to make the North-East the reference area for the entire infrastructure sector, contributing to its growth and positioning it as a point of reference not only nationally but also internationally. Combining respect for the environment with the efficiency of the motorway network, also through decisive investment in innovation and intermodality, is the way to valuable infrastructure.
A concept that Autobrennero's CEO Diego Cattoni reiterates with conviction: "Participating in this important trade fair together with Brebemi and Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova is a precious opportunity for us," he said. "It allows us to reiterate, in line with the protocol signed on Wednesday by the governors of the North, how synergies are crucial for designing a more sustainable future. Autostrada del Brennero is ready and the 7.2 billion investment project which aim to transform the entire axis from the State border to Modena into a Green Corridor is tangible proof of this".
The President of A35 Brebemi-Aleatica, Francesco Bettoni, also insisted on the importance of teamwork: 'Cooperation between these concessionaires,' he said, 'can allow to put in field the respective know-how in order to excel, as our country and these territories in particular have always done, also in the field of sustainable mobility. The experiment led by the A35 Brebemi and Aleatica on DWPT or dynamic induction, for example, is the most advanced in the world and could become the best and already available solution to drive the change that is taking place in transport, without being caught unprepared".
"We are increasingly moving towards a necessary operational interconnection of our motorway networks and their management systems - is the comment of Gonzalo Alcalde, President of A4 Holding and Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova - and we are convinced that the challenges are no longer those of tomorrow but those of today, and are won in a synergic way, without isolating ourselves but rather promoting co-participation on programmes and initiatives. As a Group and as a motorway concessionaire, we have long focused both on environmental sustainability in our infrastructure projects and on the search for advanced technological solutions, such as in the intelligent transport system and smart mobility sector'.
